I think that absense of mother figure is just less common, but it exists, I think this comes from the concept that the mother is the one who gives birth, that has the motherly instinct to protect their child, raise properly, etc (of course this depends on the type of parents)
And from most cases of divorce I saw, the mother would have always more chances of keeping the kids than the father
But my decision on this issue for this story wasn't motivated by what I said above, it was simply influenced by personal experience. I was raised by my mother for most part of my life.

I was raised by my mother pretty much all my life of my life, as well. Been through 2 father figures growing up. (abusive too), and my mother is now married to a pretty decent guy. Married him a couple years ago. I'm 26 now, so past damage is done. So it sucks, I know the feeling, Zeta.

I've pretty much moved on from the way it was, but even though that is the case, can't help but think about it sometimes and ponder "how would you be today if it was different back then?" I know a lot of us wouldn't change it because we like who we are today. Every friend I make, is a welcomed inclusion into a family I know I can hold dear to me.

I was raised by my grandmother until the third grade of elementary shool. I moved to foster families until then. So I never lived with my mother and she never took care of me. But she isn't worst than my father. If intersted, maybe I'll PM it to you, and only you. The thing is... it was not easy to learn about my father and it's still painful, even if it's been two years I know about him. And I don't remember if I already spoke about this in one of your submission.
I never got to truly know you or meet you in real life; and that said I've been following you since as long as I can remember being on here, since the first very fiew artist I followed was Raiji, Jay Naylor and you;
I found out about you because of tumblr, and of course for yiff reasons. To later find out you can express a lot of feelings trough arts others can't manage to make in anyways, moreover being as beatiful as this one up there.
I am, with my team, going to host a gaming tournament in my city, in Quebec, Canada. There is also a group of furry who will participate, and some others that were joining the community not very long ago; my group of close friends who are in furry fandom and other furry related stuff and myself were gonna host some kind of discussion about artists and their work.
Leading to my question, I would like to represent you as our favourite artist and show some of your masterpieces to the discussion, since we (wich should count over 200 guests and 40 old members) agreed that you were one of the best, simple yet so powerful arts; wich this one proves. Also giving out the link for your patreon, if anyone is interested to support you.

It's cool that you're going to have this event, yes I would love if you represented me, I don't know well what to say right now xD but it feels amazing, I would never imagine my art would influence the world/people like this, I was just doing my thing hehe ;w;

Oh and careful when showing my drawings haha, since I make adult art too there are some general rating arts that can be suggestive

Having a missing parent while growing up sucks I know the feel.
I knew a girl who was basically born from a one night stand and the mother completely abandoned her after birth. She grew up with her father who was also a criminal so long story short not the best childhood growing up. She still managed to keep a smile on her face and always managed to be the most positive person I knew which was crazy. Life can suck and yet some people can be happy in the worst situations. If only I could be life that.
