- The plaintiff rented an apartment from the defendant, a broker. When the plaintiff moved in, it stunk. Turns out, there was a sewage backup problem, so the plaintiff is suing. The defendant argues the issue was resolved, and the plaintiff just changed her mind about the apartment. He insists he did nothing wrong.

If he's not a licensed broker, made it clear he was a "manager" but then took a brokerage fee from her and later in the case describes himself as the broker...how is that not the whole ballgame? Sounds like the first fraud was him representing himself as a broker when he isn't one.
His attitude was the worst and then his "assistant" who came for emotional support was just as terrible. She lucked out with not dealing with these people.
