Furthermore, he is the only one who does not prepare by "crouching" to jump into the water like the other characters do (it is, ironically, a pose for running instead of swimming, since Sonic's specialty is precisely that, even knowing that this It's not the right way to do it in that sport. And at the same time, that's also clearly a scary and alert pose from Sonic for his aquaphobia). I like how its "impulse" consists of rolling into a ball and spinning at high speed out of the water. He really tries his best to "not interact with the water", although he tries to face it anyway and besides, his swimming is, worse than a "doggy swim", it is literally him "trying to run". XD

I took swimming lessons and I still can't swim, I can't even float! I was told I had a high bone density, so while it's very difficult for me to break a bone, I sink like a rock in water no matter how hard I try.
I truly appreciate how they kept Sonic's inability to swim and gave him a lifejacket so he could participate. Just because you can't do something doesn't mean you can't do it at all.
You'd think Sonic would finally take some swimming lessons after all these years...
There's also something so funny about seeing Bowser swim.

Details to notice: Tails swims like he does in sonic 3, The Advanced games, and mania. Also vector swimming like a real crocodile fits too good.

Sonic at the start of the race: I’ll fight the water! Leap of faith into the pool.
Everyone swimming: Beautiful range of various swim techniques including Front Crawl, Breaststroke, and Butterfly.

Each with their own style, I guess... Sonic fights against "FATE" (Ahem, his worst enemy, water), while Tails lives up to his name and anyway it's not exactly his fault, that's just him... after all, all characters "have their own advantage and ways of winning" in the game, so it is "balanced" in its own way. They are fantasy or special creatures/humans, participating for an Olympics of fantasy and special creatures/humans. :D
Daisy is the fastest swimmer in the world, but I think she is too proud of herself. and she always says「oh yeah！」
She is definitely one of the fastest ones in that event along with Sonic and Shadow and Metal Sonic and Yoshi. Since she is a Speed one along with them. I actually got a new record with her in that Swimming event.
She's the best!

Swimming is my favorite thing to do when it is summer and this video really gets me interested.
7:10 when professional swimmers get beaten by someone who can't even compete in the event without a lifevest.
Its funny because despite him being light and quick, for some reason, its canon that Sonic sinks like a stone on water. He kinda drowns without the vest
